Ruby Frost is a New York State exclusively grown apple, it was developed over 10 years by Cornell University. Reminiscent of other Northeastern grown apple flavors and texture, this apple is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. It is a medium to large apple with a deep red skin and mostly round shape. This apple is great for fresh eating or baking. It is very high in Vitamin C, and very slow to brown which also makes it a great apple to cook with or eat fresh in a salad. Ruby Frost apples contain no fat, sodium, or cholesterol, are an excellent source of fiber. Ruby Frost reach their peak flavor in Winter and stay fresh through the spring.
