While the material used is 50% stronger than other comparable covers, it is also lighter. The premium-quality marine-grade 1 1/2" binding along the perimeter of this cover protects against wear and tear. Today's aboveground pools have larger top rails, so it is important to have extra material to cover the entire pool. This cover has an additional 4' overlap to ensure this cover will fit your aboveground pool. The topside of this winter cover has been treated to reflect UV rays. The bottom of this winter cover is black to prevent algae growth in your pool. This cover is coated with a chemical-resistant polymer that resists chlorine staining, guaranteeing it will look good season after season. Two premium aluminum grommets 4" on center are placed every 4' around the perimeter of the winter cover. The included plastic-coated cable is threaded through the grommets and the included ratchet lock allows you to tighten the cover to your pool.
