Air Fryer Red Velvet Cookies

With this easy recipe, you can make a few delicious red velvet cookies and refrigerate the rest of the dough for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.

Directions

  1. Mix butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together in a large bowl with a handheld mixer for 2-3 minutes until combined.
  2. Add egg, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix again until completely combined.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, add the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, cornstarch, and flour. Stir until well combined.
  4. Transfer half of this dry mixture to the bowl of wet ingredients, and with the mixer on “low,” mix until fully combined. Repeat with the remaining half of the dry ingredients.
  5. Switch to a spatula and stir in both the white and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop one tablespoon of dough into your hands and roll it into a ball. Set each dough ball onto a plate. Cover dough balls with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  7. Before turning on your air fryer, cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of the air fryer’s basket. Be sure to cut some small holes in the paper to allow air to travel through the parchment without disrupting the cookie dough.
  8. Set air fryer mode to “bake” at 300°F. Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the piece of parchment paper into the bottom of the basket. Put the dough balls on top of the parchment, leaving one inch in between each one.
  9. Bake for 6-7 minutes at 300°F. Turn off the heat and let the cookies rest in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to set.
  10. Carefully remove cookies from the air fryer and enjoy!
